I quilt for the fun of it. I don't have a list of people I give them to. So, I buy what is on sale. The quilt shops charge at least $9 a yard and I just can't go there.

Yep same here, that is one reason I don't post pics on here cause I use whatever comes my way.
Well, I am going to post a picture of my first quilt, a crazy quilt and if it offends those who use only the finest most expensive cottons...........oh well. Several of the fabrics used are blends. As a newbie I never even thought it would matter. My daughter who owns this quilt loves it so much that I am proud of it.

Crazy quilt with some blends in it

No one here tries to offend anyone when we say its best to use cotton fabric and yes fabric is pricey. It only matters to you! If love goes along with it who cares??? The feeling of finishing a quilt can't be beat! No matter what type of fabric don't forget to sign and date your quilts! Be happy everyone! Quilt on!!!!!!! Keep the art of quilting alive! :)

I have been given fabric by friends that dont sae and i will find something to do with it. The prints are all to my liking-------they know me well. Not having made many quilts to say the least, just see what happens. It wont be the last mistake i make. lol.

Mary F., your crazy quilt is GREAT!! I have never done anything like that, but I plan to and your result will be my inspiration. So far I have only done simple patch charity quilts.

 Love the picture of your quilt. Is there a way to get a closer look. Great colors. What design? Thanks

 I like the crazy quilt, but pjustice63 is there a way we could get a closer look at the quilt on the bed. I love it. What is the design? Can anyone tell me what is a community benefactor. How long does one need to be on the board before they are a regular. Thanks
