One of the guilds I read about did this, at their meeting they drew numbers and the one that matched their numbers went home with them. They did this in the Spring, and at the Christmas party they returned their quilts to the owners,

Silly me. I thought "lol" was "lots of love".
Well - "Lots of Love" is what I mean when I include it.
"lol" from Gleniveve to all "US" crazy quilters.

It really makes it for me, since I do get distracted when it comes to the "quilting" work. I love the piecing, but the quilting I do only because I cannot see recycled fabric and money for the quilting. I repurpose silk ties and jeans for my projects.

Enjoy the process and you know they will give a lot of pleasure to the recipient.

Lol! I've got some simmering, too!
Yes and that is what to me is the difference between UFO and WIP. UFO is something that has been untouched for awhile and to be finished eventually and WIP is Work In Progress??

I have taken 1 quilting class, had about 14 quilting techniiques in it with a wallhanging the end result. I did the class and fell in love with quilting, I can stitch in the ditch. It is the only piece I have ever finished from a pattern. Right away I joined 4 BOMs, bought all the blocks as they came out. They are. All here someplace. Found myself buying other patters along with my BOMs. I have backgrounds, sashings and borders all cut out for an attic window and thoses pieces are in a shoebox waiting. I have the background, and 5 wild horses cut out in the bottom of a container. You guys just made me feel normal instead of a " waster of time and money". I am a quilter, WIP
A big CONGRATULATIONS for crossing that bridge! Welcome to our world!

Not a problem...we need variety. I do finish eveything in a timely manner so I don't have a stack of UFOs.
