I have a shelf full of planned quilts ... each piece I have bought was bought with a purpose and each piece that was given to me has a plan as soon as I see it ... I may have to live to be about 180 to do it all though :D

Yes I do that quite often but I think it's ok because it is really important to have a real interest and love of what you are doing at the time. The others will still be there to be done when you are ready. You know just like housework (whatever that is )

So many quilts and so little time. I had three going at once and now I have three more going, I keep trying to ffocus on one but I see another and want to start it. I really need to stop buying more fabric until I get something finished. LOL

I know over 150 quilters, and out of all those, I know of only 2 that for sure finish one project before starting another. I have 2 cabinets, each is 6'x18"x18" with five shelves, and both are totally cramed with UFO's. Some are started projects, some are kits, some are patterns w/fabric either purchased or from stash. I have them in large ziplock baggies and prioritized by 1) Only needs binding, 2) Top done, needs quilting, 3)Piecing started, 4) Pattern w/fabric selection & 5) Kits! There are also 4 other cabinets the same size as above (total of 6' high by 6' wide by 18" deep, each w/5 shelves) that are filled w/100% cotton quilting fabric. I'm going on a shopping sabatical! There is not a thing I could possibly need if I live to be 100! I just had shoulder surgery and still work full time, consequently, I have a lot of quilting to do when my therapist gives me the go ahead to sew/quilt. You are TOTALLY normal; never ever feel guilty for indulging in what gives you real joy!

Raises Hand slowly...I have fabric boxed in tubs for 14 quilts. Every month DH takes me fabric shopping in Lancaster and pushes me to buy more. My stash is getting out of hand. I love to just run my hands over the fabric and admire it. Now I have a fetish for Robert's Batiks...Yikes..
