Blue has been my favorite color my entire life. I have made many quilts that were some or all blue. I am currently hand quilting one that is all blue and 80 x 100 inches. Part of me is wishing it were finished, while another part is enjoying it. I know, lately I have been very interested in Earth tones, but could I be "falling out of love" with my favorite?

Just because I love one color doesn't mean I can't like the rest right?

Try some new colors! Blue is my favorite too...I love blue dishes, fabrics, clothes and quilts. But I'm really drawn to some other colors for quilts. I think it's good to expand your horizons.

If loving blue is wrong, I don't want to be right. I happen to be working on a huge blue quilt for hub's birthday, and I think I know what you are saying. I got something green on my mind for the next one ;-)

Did you ever really fall out of love with your first love? I think not. At least I didn't. I still have a little tiny piece of my heart that he holds(and the next and the next and so on). It will be the same with blue, it will always be your first love no matter how many colors you have later on in life. Trust me, I know. LOL!! Yep, by the time you reach your golden years you should have worked your way through all the colors so that your quilts can be as colorful as your patchwork heart.

No, I did not ever completely get over my first love. He was like no other.............He was Mister Ed. But you are not old enough to know who he was? Are you?
