I only count them as UFOs if I have put them away for a while. Any that I'm actively working on are considered WIPs.

I think I have about 7 UFOs, 1 WIP, and fabric in the mail for another quilt. Plus stash for others not yet planned.

Not sure how many total, but several are in the waiting to be machine quilted or partially hand quilted stage, several more are in the need fabric (or need to decide on fabric) for backing, some I haven't decided if I want to add borders or not and one in particular is waiting for me to get to the point where I have the skill to do the quilting like I want it. That last one is one of the very first quilts I made and I have a very specific mental picture of how I want it quilted and that is still way above my skill level.

We have the one quilt we are working on plus four at the LAQ. I'm a finisher and won't start another till one is finished. If we have one we 're not happy with we finish it and donate it.

Started the year with 17 bedsize UFO's. My goal is to finish one a month. Have finished two, for Jan. & Feb, and am on schedule for March. I may fall off the wagon and start something new but I am resisting because of the satisfaction there is in finishing. True confession: One has been thrown away because I knew I would never complete it.

One of my guilds is having a UFO challenge this year so we all had to turn in a list of UFOs. There are about 40 total on my list. I finished the top of one of the big UFOs and it'll go to the longarm quilter next week.

When I started quilting about 18 months ago, I decided to finish a project before I went on to another. That being said, I would buy the pattern and fabric for new quilts and keep it stored until I had completed the one I was working on. I have since found out that sometimes it's good to have a couple going at one time. I have done some FMQ that I can work on for only an hour or two, so then I work on something else. Right now, I have two quilts at the LAQ (which will need binding); one I am quilting myself; one in the piecing stage; one in the "stored" stage; and one paper-pieced wallhanging that's in progess.

I don't plan on counting. I do enjoy the process, and have projects in various stages. Quilting is my "therapy", so I am always busy on something!

I joined the UFO challenge here last month. One of the quilters, asimplelife, was just CRANKING out getting her UFOs done, and she keeps a count. So, I thought if I made a list, maybe it would help me complete some of them. I counted yesterday and I have 53. I'd better get busy!
