I sewed right through my index finger and fingernail on my left hand. I'm typing here with that finger all bandaged up and sticking up in the air. Ouchie - waa-waa!!!!

    :-(

I told my near-panicked hubbie that quilters do it all the time. Am I right??

So far, not me, although I have come close a time or two. Take care! It's kitchen knives that get me...have sliced myself to the bone twice.

I haven't but know others who have. Ouch!! Keep it elevated and maybe take some anti-infammatory meds.

I have sewn my didgit with the longarm machine once and hope it will stay a once thing. I realy do feel for you and I know it sure does throb each and every heartbeat. keep it up above your heart to lessen the throbbing.

When I was a little girl, I played on my grandmother's treadle sewing machine and stitched my finger. I remember crying for the longest because it hurt so much, but I don't remember bleeding at all. I probably didn't bleed, just cried! Since then I'm managed to keep my fingers out of the path of the needle. But I whacked a finger with the rotary cutter not so long ago. For that I did bleed! A lot! Here's hoping your finger heals quickly.

I put the needle down through my fingernail and into my finger ONCE, way back in Home Economics class in junior high.

Oh no, sewing is so dangerous. Please be careful. I have never done that but came close...Hope it heals fast.
