I was taught to sew on the Singer treadle and it had a beautiful stitch. Having three grand daughters, as looking for a treadle for each girl. They may never use them but thought it would be a good reminded of how far we have come in sewing. Always reminded me of the day my oldest (14) GD was asked to make a call using my mother's phone (old rotary). She picked up phone looked at it and said "How do you use it?". No buttons to push, still have cord, etc.
