Well, you all know how blue I was with the results of the quilting on the RedHat Lap. Well, I encountered something I hadn't before. This was that when I used my walking foot on the straight parts of the quilting I would often have to lift and reset the foot (not move it just lower again) at the seams. Have any of you ever had to do that with a "walking" foot. Maybe it needs a walker  but it isn't OLD so it shouldn't. I used a freemotion foot for the curves and of course freemotion quilting. :?

sometimes the seams make a hump and I need to lift my foot just a dab to help it over

and by the way, what did you do with the quilt? did you take it out and try again? I hope you found something that worked for you.
