My husband who would complain if it smelled...does not. its sew much easier than pinning. I hang it up on my wall on till I am ready to FMQ it..and it stays perfect. its very easy to FMQ, no problems with breaking needles or fabric moving.
Where do you find the June Taylor?

I also am allergic to alot of odors and don't spray very often.
If I use it I just give it a quick spray here and there.
still use a few pins to make sure it all stays in place.
I also prefer pins over thread basting.......

You are not alone. I can't stand those fumes and cannot imagine what
that does on our lungs. I prefer to thread baste.

I have asthma and I spray baste at my sis's house in a large basement area. Just hold my breath while I am spraying in short bursts very close to my work. Doesn't seem to bother me.

I am asthmatic also and have never had a problem. So far I have only spray basted lap quilts or wall hangings.

I am not a big fan of spray basting. I've only spr basted one queen size quilt . It seened to take 10 x longer then pinning. I had to keep lifting to smooth out. I do find I use spraying for small projects that are sewn pillow case style. Only one layer to spray. Anything bigger just to much trouble.

Don't try it. I have asthma, COPD and emphesyma. I tried it in the garage with the big doors open. Still affected me. Besides I had the sticky mess all over, the back wasn't tight as I was trying to do it on plywood over sawhorses, etc. I find that pinning has never let me down.

I just started using 505 and I like it. I do it indoors, on the wall did not have a mess. I have done 3 quilts so far and will use it moving forward.

A tip for those complaining about a sticky mess: You do not have to baste the entire area. Start in the center and stop about a foot from the edges. By the time your quilting reaches that point you will be able to manage it with your hands or use some pins if you must.

Or try just spray basting the backing to the filler. The backing is where I have the most issues with pleating. I can line up the top with what has been spray basted and use very few pins to secure it.
