I'm excited. :) I entered two items in the local county fair yesterday and we went this evening to do the whole fair thing, and to see how bad I was smoked out by the competition. I was preparing myself for the worst, but when we got to the exhibit hall I saw that both of my entries had won First Place blue ribbons. :D To say I was shocked was an understatement because I had really been telling myself that I'm new at this, don't get your hopes up and be let down, etc. The judge wrote some really nice comments on the back of my entry tags as well, which was nice. I don't have pics of the ribbons yet since we didn't take the camera, have to wait until Sunday when I go back to pick up my items.

I know this is just a dinky county fair, but this was a big confidence booster for me. I started not to even enter anything but my daughter reminded me to go take my entries there yesterday when I "forgot".

Here's pics of the two things I entered - a quilt and a pillow. I like quilting. :D

Of course you won! All of your things are beautiful. Try looking at them as if someone else did them. If they were not yours, you could see them more clearly.

That is a beautifully made quilt, very appealing! I'm not at all surprised that it won a ribbon. And cathedral windows? I'm so impressed! No wonder you left your competition in the dust.
