Now that your know your husband's propensity for turning down the heat when HE's hot, just get in the habit of checking it before you turn in at night. Problem solved.

I have been soooooooo lazy lately. Not exercising at all. A couple of weeks ago I started doing 10 squats or 10 push ups every time I use the restroom or iron. You can get quit a bit of exercise in this way.

I moved my ironing board upstairs! Around the corner, up the 16 stairs...works for me!

My iron is across the room too, but I am up and down a lot anyway. My shoulders and neck get too tense if I don't take lots of breaks and stretch, so I do!

I try not to have things too efficient for that reason. I am up and down quite a bit so it is exercise.

Stitch: I feel the amazing energy coming from your sewing room. Just reading the list of WIP is exciting. Thank you for sharing a peek into your sewing space. You would probably faint if you saw the inside of my sewing room, your is so organized. I am so tempted by Bonnie's new mystery, love the colors!

good idea! I recently cleared the treadmill of the boxes sitting there. I use it everytime I go downstairs to let the dogs out or change laundry. I know, 15 minutes isn't burning calories by much but I am more concerned with blood clots from all the sitting and sewing lately. not to mention the computer for an hr in the morn.

I once did about 24 6" blocks, figured out how to arrange the ironing board next to the sewing table next to the work table so I never had to get up. After about 3 hours of sewing and NEVER STANDING, my tailbone was killing me (don't know why - there's PLENTY of padding back there LOL), so I figured standing up to iron wasn't all that bad of a concept after all. Lesson learned, that's for sure.
