Default I finally found it, but too late...

About 5 years ago, when I was visiting my Dear MIL in Coeur d'Alene, ID, she gave me a $50 gift certificate for my birthday. I could have sworn that I never used it, but still I could never find it.

Well, I just found it today, along with the birthday card and some fabric that I purchased from Joann's Fabric. And guess what? It is for Hancock Fabrics; which is now closed and out of business. Can you believe it? Nothing like being a day late and a dollar short. (let's make that $50 short - UGH!)

Hancocks are not closed everywhere. Try using it on line they should still honor it.

I thought the same thing, but when I used their web address, they say they are not up. I tried it again and it said 'new things were coming soon," but no catalog store. Maybe I am using the wrong web address.

Hancock Fabrics is done, kaput. Everything was sold, even the intellectual rights to their brands. If a new website is coming, it will be under the new owners.

    Michaels bought the intellectual rights.

That's a great idea, I'll check into this. I'll let you all know the outcome.

I would keep trying but I think that no one will accept it. I made sure I used my Borders gift certificate as soon as I heard they were closing.
