I am so jealous-I have been hunting and hunting for a good deal on one and never find one. I had never heard of the site you listed before so I will check it out today. I check craigslist several times a day. Can you FMQ on them as well?

You can FMQ on them if you take the tension off of the presser foot and use a darning plate over the feed dogs. I have even seen folks used a playing card to cover them.

Uh..here's the stupid question of the day. What is Kijiji? :?:

You got a great deal!!! I've been looking for one, but I'm not spending the $300-600 that they want for them on Craigslist in my area! I don't need anything that bad!

Oh my, how wonderful for you!! I wish I could find a bargain like that. The only Featherweights I've seen for sale cost $500. Yep, that's right and it was at a quilt show either in Lawton or Okla. City last year.

I know very little about Feather weights, except that I think I would like to have one to take to sew in days at guild. Did they make them in 1951? I found this machine for sale. Should I get it?? $90

Great deal. You must be in the right spot. Here they are 300 and up. but then so are most of the machines. not paying it.
