I've always used soft fuse, but someone mentioned misty fuse in another thread so I bought some. I think misty fuse is lighter and softer, I really like it - but it didn't come with paper backing. I mainly do raw edge applique projects and the tracing paper is important. I used it with the silouette cameo since I don't need the paper backing for that and it worked great.

I haven't had a chance to compare two washed

Misty Fuse and Soft Fuse fuse two pieces of fabric together, it's not interfacing. I got several pm saying it's too expensive for interfacing when such and such will work.

You can add backing paper to Misty Fuse. I have done it. I placed Misty Fuse between two sheets of parchment paper, ironed them, then while the paper is still warm peeled off one of the sheets. It's an extra step, but it does work.

Thanks for your post about the Soft Fuse. I am about to start a large applique project and have been looking for a really soft fusible.

Good to know... I'll have to try it on my Dresden appliqué project.

I usually use Bosal fusible. Does this one work the same way. Is it for bags?

Isn't Bosal fusible batting? Misty Fuse is just a fusible -- no batting. Soft Fuse is the same, but comes with a paper backing. Misty Fuse and Soft Fuse are used for making fusible appliques.

In the past I used Steam-A-Seam II Lite fusible but there was a problem with it for a while and I could not find it. I understand it is now back but I think it makes my applique stiffish. I like to do McKenna Ryan projects and need some new fusible. Do any of you know if the Soft Fuse will work for that kind of applique? I would need the paper backing since I would need to trace pattern pieces.
