So sorry for your loss, but I think your aunt will be happy that her fabric will be put to good use and not tossed aside. I also think that making quilts for your uncle's grandkids would be a wonderful idea, as then they will have something of hers to remember.

wow that is a long way to drive to get fabric! I sure hope all the good stuff wasn't taken but you are fortunate that your Uncle thought of you and your mom .. share pix with us, we would love to be astounded with your 15 tubs!

I'm so sorry for your loss, but glad your Aunts Fabrics will stay within the family and her Grandchildren will all have a memento of her. There is also the plus of getting to spend a week alone with you Mother, talking and reminnising about things of the past and talking of things to come. I would give anything to have a week with my Mother, i lost her when she was 43 to colon cancer & so far I have out lived her by 10 yrs which I'd gladly take off my life to add to hers.

Sorry for your loss, but happy that you will be able to get more fabric.
I'm sure that there will be some in there that you won't want either, so instead of throwing it out, maybe you can find a charity that makes quilts and would like it. I send scrap fabric, not necessarily all quilting fabric, to Jamaica via the flight training planes of the military. I don't know if you could find a connection there, but ours go to Milwaukee somewhere. A friend of mine in town collects the boxes of stuff and when he has a truck load, takes it on down. In Jamaica it goes to the missions, where they teach people to sew so that they can make a living. They will take anything.
