    Excited for you!
And on the question about naming machines -
    * I have a 1922 Singer treadle - named in honor of the original owner, my dear friend's Mother-in-law, ALBERTINA
    * My new/old Singer 201-2 is named in honor of Mom, Liz, who died last year & whose sewing inspiration got me started on her Singer 201 when I was 5 years old - LIZZIE

I only did this to honor 2 very special people in my life; have not named any other sewing machines, nor do I intend to.
Have fun w/ your new toy.

Congrats! I love my 301. Mine is a black shortbed, but I haven't named her. In fact, the only one I have named is my first 66 Redeye I cleaned up. I named her Helen Redeye.
