    Good luck taking home a paycheck. I worked in a fabric store in the 80's and I think I spent most of my paycheck in the store. I wasn't a quilter at the time but I made most of my own and my kids cloths. I think my working a in a fabric store is like putting an alcoholic in a liquor store. Good luck. Have fun at your new summer job.

    You will love the new job. I used to work at the LQS part time and I loed the discount I got for anything I purchased there. I left there because I had 2 kids in college and was offered a full time job with benefits and more money so there was really no decision to make. I still miss the quilt shop. It was the job I enjoyed the most.

    Ohhhhh, congrats, but for me it would be a diaster. I would always come home with more fabic that what I'm make in wages. Tried that at a estate company, I still have stuff from then.

    Wow - for me it would be hard to keep track of the "automatic deductions" from my pay for the fabric and stuff I just had to have. :-)
