Default I got my new to me HQ 16 assembled today!

I had hoped to have the room where I planned to set up my new to me Handiquilter 16, painted and with new floors, but well life happened.

So today, when I realised it would be at least another month before I could possibly do flooring and painting, I decided to set up Diana. I bought her from a lady named Diane, and named her Diana.

Eventually I will buy Red Snappers or the Leader thingies, but for now I have to find a bunch of corsage pins. I am hoping Walmart has them, or I will ask the florist to order some in for me.

At this point I am pooped, but happy.

I will try to post a photo later.

Good decision. Floors and such can come later, and you can get to know Diana now.

Congratulations on your new to you longarm! I don't see why you need florist pins, why not use the flat headed pins? You can find them at any Joanns or Walmart or Hobby Lobby.

I used the yellow headed pins from JoAnn's until I got Red Snappers. Congrats on getting your HQ set up. Now have fun!

Congrats, you will love it! The very first class I took to use a LA was on an HQ16! In the class they had us pin with corsage pins but I just use flat head pins and yellow head pins. I still use pins.

Buy a bolt of muslin with a coupon from Joanns. Use it for your top and backing and play plus challenge yourself to do feathers, go in and out of drawn on block designs so you don't get stuck in a corner.
Btw, I have a Gammil and use the corsage pins as they don't bend as easily. You can get them online.

JoAnn's also sells the floral pins (look by the cake decorations and wedding stuff). I even "split" the package with another woman who said she didn't need the whole bag! Worked out great! Congratulations on your new machine! Enjoy!
