I think you need to remove the offending borders. Because the inside borders have seams that aren't in line with others, you may be able to remove only part of those and adjust the seam. You can't do that with the cornerstones, of course. As far as the center goes, it doesn't show in the picture. Would an extra layer of batting take up any fullness - kind of a modified tapunto look?
It's going to be beautiful and worth any fussing.

Quiltingshorttimer, you have a good eye. After reading Prism99's post and your post, I measured the two cream-colored blocks in the blue/cream/turquoise border and one is a 1/4 inch too big! So, I'll spend my rainy Sunday taking off the outside black borders and then I can rip out and remake the problem block. Then I'll measure, measure, measure before I reattach the black borders.

Thank you you all for your input. 😊

not sure if it's a good eye for just lots of (personal quilt) wavey borders!

I think we've all had a 'mistake' now and then! I sure have!

One thing I have learned about borders. It is best to cut them the long way of the fabric. Fabric stretches more on the cross grain so it is really hard to keep it from stretching when joining to another cross grain fabric. I think you will be more satisfied if you fix it.

No real help here! It's going to be beautiful! Ditto to Everyone suggested! I will certainly keep those in mind when I use a panel for my niece's wedding this weekend! OMG! This weekend! I've got to get started on that today! I'm such a last minute procrastinator! Really love your panel!
