    It sounds lovely and I particularly like the bright colors with black that has been suggested. However, my practical side wonders about the weight since it will include a lot of piecing. And, assume you plan to line the skirt since you will have a lot of seams that would be exposed otherwise. The skirt will need to be carefully pressed each time you launder it. If you don't mind those issues, then go for it and post pictures.

    eek! I wonder about the weight! That could be an issue.... hmmmm

    It's a nice idea and I don't want to rain on your parade but I think you'd have a job getting it to hang right - lots of seams and bias edges in OBW. But hey, you could prove me wrong. Or you could make a plain skirt and applique some kaledioscope or OBW hexagons over it - that would work better I think. BTW the Jinny Beyer fabric is gorgeous but I wouldn't use it for OBW - too many straight lines. I'd wait til your book comes then read the guidelines on fabric choice before going shopping. :-D

    Good idea. I've never made a OBW before, I may be in for a huge surprise. :?
