I love looking at everyone's quilts, admiring their creativity, patterns, and color combinations. I have really done well at not buying fabric for a number of months, then I decided to make quilts for all my grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a comfort quilt for a dear friend who is scheduled for surgery for cancer, chemo, radiation, etc. I have purchased quite a bit of fabric for those.
Everyone has their own talent. I haven't seen one quilt on this board that I couldn't compliment. We are too hard on ourselves sometimes. I'll bet each of you makes wonderful quilts well deserving of compliments.

On my Mac the Quick Reply box has no icons, none in the right corner or anywhere else! Guess this is what's making it impossible for me to post pictures. And here I thought I was just DUMB as a sack of rocks! LOL!

My favorite place to go is Pictures, doesn't get me to buy fabric but I ALWAYS need to get the pattern because it will be my next quilt. I will probably have to live to be 150 to finish all the patterns I have gotten because of the Pictures thread!

So, I must be the only one who, when looking at pictures, can't resist the fabrics and have to purchase them. I wish I weren't that way. I have way too much fabric as it is, but it doesn't stop me. I haven't been to pictures in a month. I miss it terribly and I don't know if I'll last more than a day longer. But, I really can't afford to spend any more money on fabric, so maybe I can look at pictures. In fact, I think I'll glance at them right now. I didn't realize how many people looked at pictures. It sounds like 90% of us all look at pictures.

Guilty. I look, make my order, delete the next day...makes me think I am sopping and I can tell myself I don't need it the second day. I do this especially on sale fabric. I am so goofy at times but I seem to be getting my fix for fabric, not adding to the pile and not spending money. Someday, they will put me away in a nice place with white jackets.

I'm going to have to stop printing off free patterns I want after seeing the beautiful quilts in the pictures section. It's costing me almost as much in paper and ink as what I'm spending on fabric. When I started, I didn't understand about the "hidden" costs.

The pictures are a great lure for me, but the entire board can keep me occupied much longer than I should spend on the computer! I am tempted by a lot on here, but have managed to (sort of) refrain from purchases recently. This is also partly due to the fact that my friend and neighbor has been busy and so have I......Meaning she and I have had no shopping trips lately! She is a shopper and I tell her she is a bad influence! Lol She buys a lot of her fabric by the bolt if it is on sale! Her upstair sewing area would qualify as a lqs! She is planning a business and stocking up! It's hard to resist when she says that I can always come and get fabric if I need to!

Please know that EVERYONE has a level of expertise. Don't judge by others; judge by your own progress. My first quilt? It was cute, but the binding was ALL wrong! As I progressed, I thought about ripping out that bad binding, but decided to leave it in honor of my first effort. I've come quite a long way, but I still live the first quilt. Be encouraged

Yep, too many great quilts that they'll never get done in a lifetime...BUT I'm addicted to the pictures, not lying...I can't stop looking at them and saving the ones that peak my interest.
