Just love the snow!!! Live in Pa and it is beautiful! Our summers arn't very hot like down south, hurricanes.earthquakes, mudslides hardly ever happen. So think a couple of months a year we can enjoy winter sports and wear comfy clothes sit by the fire and get more quilting done.

We've only had about an inch of snow so far. Our average December temp is 37*. This year it is 47*. However, we are expected to get 3 - 6 inches starting tommorrow night and expected temp by Friday of 10 below. Sooo?????
The storms seem to skip over us and hit the mountains - ski areas are happy.
Last winter was the coldest for here in almost a hundred years.
So I am all set to quilt through the weekend.

We have had a couple of 40 degree celsius days over the Christmas period (that's 104 degrees farenheit)...so you can imagine snow would be a very welcome change for us. It's a more bearable 34C (94F) today, but still pretty hot to do too much.
We had a very dry winter, so our dams are very low. We are on watering restrictions, so any less than hardy plants have to be hand watered. There is a lot of bucketing of laundry water going on at our place. We have two birdbaths on the go at the moment, plus some clay saucers filled with water on the ground. The birds and lizards seem to appreciate it.
All these extremes of weather conditions....I think most of us would like a bit of milder weather all round.
