    I recently had a black fabric that was a real bleeder. Didn't have much invested in it so I experimented a little. I put the fabric in a big pan and boiled it, drained and boiled again. The second time the water stayed clear. Tested by taking a scrap of white and wadding it up in the wet black and let it sit for an hour or so. The white stayed white.
