    Speed controls are available, I just haven't gotten one yet. Just got it up and running yesterday. I am using my old machine on it.Controls are available on line for around $60, from Grace speed controller.

    You can build it 10 or 12 ft. Mine is 10 long.

    FYI ..Plans are around $20 on line. Total material cost to build is less than $300.
