I don't get it either. If someone asked me about a quilt I made I'd be so happy to talk about quilting to someone I'd probably never shut up about it.

I will gladly share everything I know with who ever asks...because I figure it will enrich the other person as much as me.

It's a shame she wasn't flattered that you asked for the pattern. You obviously liked the quilt enough to ask for the pattern, which means that she must have done a beautiful job. Not sure why she didn't see that as a compliment.

If you describe it maybe we could help with the name?

My gosh. Even if you made the very same quilt, I am sure you would not use the very same fabric. I try to share the names of all my patterns with people. It would have flattered me to think she thought it was pretty enough to want to make one. I have gave the name of my Avatar and the designer to anyone that asked.

This is my answer too! Nobody I know quilts...at least, nobody I know in real life. My "imaginary friends in the magic box" as my husband calls my internet friends, are the only people I talk to about quilting.

The quilt has gone to one of our shut-ins. Maybe if I visit the person, she would let me take a picture. The reason I wanted the pattern is that it looks easy and I am still in that easy stage----that is why i wanted the name. This person does beautiful work . So I w ill see what I can do
