Good Thinking! If you could take a pic and post it here I am sure someone will come up with the name......

I do hope that you're able to visit the "shut-in" person and take a pic of it. There's so many knowledgeable people on this board that you'll have the answer in NO time. I'll be bookmarking this post to follow it for later on.

hmm....who knows. Even if i copy a quilt - the size of the pieces can be different, the color choices are different...

And like others have indicated - i always LOVE to tell the story behind a quilt i've made - especially if it is an old(er) quilt that i'm finishing.

I would suggest you taking out your cell phone, snap a photo and post it here. You'd have the pattern name in an hour or two.
Love that advice!! I love this site!! Always get an answer that makes perfect sense and solves the problem!! More than one way to skin a cat?? Thanks!!

It might be she made the quilt and made a mistake throughout the entire quilt - and thus does not want to give the name of it as it is now a whole different quilt! Just did not want you to know she made a mistake - ????? Just a guess - unless she is a person who just has a bad-hair day occasionally. Anything is possible - If she is secretive otherwise in other things, it is something that she is carrying over into her quilting as well... if not, my guess is what I stated above.. unless she is like I say - having a bad-hair day.

If you can kind of sketch it out and send the sketch in, maybe someone here can figure it out. good luck.

Maybe this is one of those "God works in mysterious ways" things. This is giving you an opportunity to visit a shut-in!
