I was tring to pull my needle through a seam last nigth. thought I had to get a pair of pliers. Istead I grabed the next beast thing a small nail cliper . I put it up on the needle not near the point and gelenty pulled it did not take much.And it worked with out damaging my needle.

That is a good idea. I use tweezers to pull mine when my fingers and needle aren't cooperating.

I bought a pr of hemostats at a flea market years ago and use them.
