Lucky you. It's good day if one could find just 1 treadle or featherweight on Craig's list in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Pretty much so long as its a Singer cabinet/treadle. The bases are the same dimension except for the 28, 99, 128 and 185J or K.

The 15, 27, 66, 201 are the same and depending on the handwheel the belt length should be the same.

I wish I had the treadle my Grandmother sewed on. When Gram passed away, that machine went to her sister. That old machine is where I learned to make clothes for my cats when I was a little girl. I didn't play dolls but I sure had well dressed cats. They weren't too thrilled with playing cat-dolls. I was looking at the featherweights, some are in beautiful colors at this one site.

It's a particular Singer machine, made in the 1920's through 50's, I believe. They are well known as work horses that stitch a GREAT stitch - perfect for patchwork quilting. They don't do any fancy stitches, just forward and back, but they are reported to be wonderful machines!

    Billy,
Since today is my birthday, and I'm a poor church secretary, do you think there's any way you could find it in your heart to be nice to me? I'd be happy to purchase it from you, but I certainly can't spend the normal amount on one... I just don't have it. As my birthday gift, you could be nice and let me purchase it for....oh, how about $100, plus shipping? I got $50 from my parents for my birthday, so I'd only have to come up with the extra $50. Pretty please???? As a person who has had to put up with April Fool's jokes for the past 55 birthdays, I think I deserve a break!! :-) Email me on my personal email: [email protected]
