That's so true Amma. I loved the way he wrote his articles. Funny, yet informative. It made the mag a fun read. I wonder what happened.

I like his style of writing. It is funny and keeps your attention. He's one of those that you never know what he's going to say or do next.........LOL!

I love his magazine and am sorry he's leaving. I wonder if he burned his bridges. I understand from a quilt shop owner that she went to one of the big shows and he had rented the whole downstairs. She said when she went down there he had all kinds of x-rated stuff for sale...and it wasn't stuff for quilts. I've had a hard time buying the magazine since I heard this. Then his articles on the quilts that were not traditional caused some big problems.

Hmmm, I had heard that Quilter's Home was having some problems. I know one of the editors, but she was laid off a couple months ago & had said there was trouble. Too bad, I really enjoyed Mark's quirky sense of humor!

How on earth can Quilter's Home continue without Mark Lipinski? It's like Oprah magazine continuing on without Oprah. He was on every page of that magazine.......

Today in the mail, I received two mailings from QH - one thanking me for renewing my subscription (I'll have to check my checkbook to see when I did that) and offering me another year for some more dollars. The other mailing was thanking me for subscibing and would I like to give some gift subscriptions. And all these folksie little letters were signed by Mark!

I know that I'm sort of liberal, but, that being said, I have never found anything offensive in the magazine. I just really wonder what all this is about. I probably won't renew my subscription either. I thought the magazine was funny and informative. I suspect we will hear a lot more about this.

Quilter's Home is one of the 2 magazines I subscribe to. I love it, because it's fun to read, and makes me realize quilting is supposed to be fun, not work. I don't see how the magazine will be the same without Mark. I guess I missed the porn aspect of it; I did however pick up on the snobbery of some quilters, and I realized that is not how I want to be. I just renewed my subscription last month, I will take a wait and see attitude. I read the magazine cover to cover, one of the few magazines of any genre I can say that about.

i have just deleted some of the responses in this topic. they were nasty personal attacks between individuals. they added NOTHING to the conversation.

this topic may be of interest to those who are considering/reconsidering subscriptions to this particular magazine.

i appreciate those who are talking about the magazine.

those who want to talk about each other ... tsk! tsk! tsk! :?
