I have up to three different project going at one time. I can't handle more than that. Right now I have two knitting projects and one quilt project in the works. But I have a LOT more projects in my head!!

I am like francie.....I get bored easily. I have been not really wanting to do anything for a while now. I started back last night. I have one that needs to be quilted (it is sandwiched and ready to go). 1 completed quilt top. 1 quilt top I am working on...I think it might turn out ok as I changed my plan mid-stream! 2 others I have fabric and patterns for waiting to be cut out. Plus I have the quilt blocks for bom for Jan-Mar and need to get April done. Got a plan for the overall quilt using them though! I'd like to make a scrappy quilt using my left-overs......too many ideas, not enough time! Not to mention there have been times I have spent HOURS reading this board and not getting anything done. LOL

I too have your affliction... but have discovered if I don't keep some level of control.. I will have lots of projects in various states of completion and none getting finished. So I have a rule or self imposed restrictions.. once a project is cut .. I can't cut another till I finish. This self imposed rule has kept me finishing many a project when my brain so desperately wanted to start something new. Its amazing how motivating this can be.

I have 2 hand piecing projects going at this time, along with about 3 other projects to finish. I get bored if something takes too long to finish. If I am too tired to stand at my table or sit at my machine, I will hand sew. So I like to have more than 1 thing to work on at a time. It definitely is my therapy and obsession.

I try to have a selection of quilts on the go using different techniques for different sewing machines and different times of the day. I hate sandwiching so at his stage usually a delay so another quilt is tarted. Oh did I mention also hnd sew a project.

Hey, creative people can't turn off that switch in our brains. I have gotten so that everything I see I can relate back to quilting. Carpenters figuring out how to cut wood, painters deciding how and where to use their paint color, crafters ALL use some of our quilting expertise. So, yep...lots of quilts working and creating and I am NEVER bored NOR do I get impatient with people being late any more....I just quilt while I am waiting and greet them with a smile because I could take a few minutes to quilt...hey, look on the bright side, WE QUILTERS always have something to do and are NEVER bored.

I have more big bags with fabric and patterns ready to go and I keep buying more. At 74 I know I will never get them all done but what fun it is to play with my fabric and make plains of what to do with it.

Aah yes, but I will never face boredom. Just panic attacks, (need to get this one done, so I can start on another). lol, just love it, love the planning.

i made a 'bucket list' and posted it. But, i haven't looked at it in a while. i have 3 waiting for the bindings to be put on. one in a hand quilting frame, a FW quilt that i'm making along, and then one i'm working hard on. so really just two actively going right now.
Oh, i forgot, i could set blocks together on a couple more tho, if i just would. sometimes, i just say, no, finish this one, before you can start something new.

You are not alone! I would like to do it all too. I just have to figure what I want most.
