    You have the perfect opportunity for "back art!!" All my better quilts get some! I don't place a strip down the middle or right on the edge. If the backing gets tweaked at all during the quilting, it will be obvious. I place my add-in pieces off-center and even deliberately crooked

    Same thing happened to me after I had it mostly pinned..Made me so angry.. Had to start from scratch again.. Always plan ahead and measure first....

    That's how I got started putting a row of the pieced blocks on the back at the top. I never have to wonder which way it goes on the bed!
