    Amma....I did not know this about shipping the two pieces separately. Thanks.

    no1jan...I knew there was a link on here "somewhere" for the Singer s/n's as I used that to date my treadle. Thanks for posting it here. Unfortunately, I did not think to write down the number as I didnt' think it was something I could seriously consider....until after I left, of course!!! LOL

    I'll let you all know tomorrow what I find out, and if I get it or not.

    Packaging is extremely important. Many machines are damaged in shipment. Aside from shipping the case separately from the machine, double-boxing is a good idea. Because of the weight, the older machines can cost a bit to ship. Be sure to factor packaging, shipping cost, and insurance into your total costs.
