Anybody else out there love the feeling of a newly basted quilt? I just finally got my mom's quilt basted and up out of the reach of the kitten. There is something about that heavy, clinky feeling and sound of a basted quilt that I just love. Tomorrow, I quilt. Yikes! It has been a while since I actually did quilting. I have a bunch of ladies in waiting to prove it!

Yes, I love the feel of new fabric, and new quilts! Good luck!

I love the feeling too! One more step in the process done. Kas, your avatar quilt is so pretty. Can you post a larger picture here?

It is truly a blessed feeling when the quilt reaches that stage!

I love that point, also, because I love hand quilting and a basted quilt means the best part is next.

I agree. It is such an awesome feeling. I have a quilt for my DD basted and ready to be quilted. The only better feeling is when I get to remove the very last pin!! Yeah!!

I can't wait to remove the very first pin! I forgot all the stuff that goes along with getting four kids ready for Halloween. Wah! So it is hanging there over the shower curtain rod in the guest bathroom. Waiting still! And yes, I can post a bigger pic of my avatar quilt. I made it for baby#4.
