That is beautiful fabric! I love the flowers! Quite a few years ago, I wanted some all cotton sheets, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I found some inexpensive, all cotton, flat sheets and made a fitted sheet for the bottom one, and made pillow cases out of another. So I had a complete set of all cotton sheets for outlet prices. I could have made curtains, too, as I have in the past, too, but didn't in this case.
I love all the pretty ones I have seen posted here previously, too!

I make matching pillowcases for all of my quilts. I use the cases when using the quilt but also use the pillowcase to store the quilt if it is not being used. One quick glance and I know without shaking out the quilt what quilt is sitting on my shelf. It also means that I have matching fabric (suitably aged and worn) should my quilt ever need mending. Pillowcases also make wonderful gift bags and I use them all the time for large gifts or shower presents.

Your pillow case is so cute. The color choices match perfectly! I love making pretty pillow cases especially as gifts. Here is a method that I've used many times, but I serge the side seams instead of French seams.

I have actually used the Missouri star method. which is basically the same. the cuts are just a little different. which is just fine. they are all basically put together the same in most of the you tube vids i have seen.
