I love QB because it is the BEST motivator and helps me fill in the slow hours of the day at work (when I have to be away from my sewing machine).
    :)
It is great as there is so much useful information and the tutorials are great. Also a great way to meet other quilters. By the way, I noticed you're from Wisconsin -what city are you from. I'm originally from Wisconsin being the city of Colby (home of Colby Cheese).

I've been a loner with a longing all my life. I feel a part of this warm and wonderful group of people who accept me just as I am. I can sit here with whatever I wish, coffee, clothes or just my puppy and enjoy your help, humor and humble generosity. I feel so blessed to have met you all. I'm connected. Thank You. Ruth

I love the QB because of all the wonderful people. I can learn so much from everyone that I don't have to spend money on classes....which gives me more money for fabric :D :D

I love the QB for all the advice given to this newbie. From choosing fabrics, to thread, to color choice. It's all here. And if it's not, it's because I haven't asked! Thanks for being...

I love QB because I'm a newby and it's opened my eyes to all kinds of things about quilting: questions (complete with answers), problems (complete with proposed solutions), techniques like bargello, cathedral window, and SO many more (complete with tutorials and links to other sites), etc. Who knew there were so many different techniques, so many ideas, and so much info out there?

Each day, I read the threads that contain technique info that I should absorb. (I read pages and pages.) For dessert, I look at every photo. They inspire me to keep building my skills until the day I can make something really special. (I'm almost at the end of Volume 1 of Harriet and Carrie Hargrave's book series, The Quilter's Academy, and I'm taking the 4-Seasons Beginners Bargello course at quiltuniversity.com - both of which I learned about on QB! )

I honestly don't think I'd have the patience to be so deliberate if it were not for seeing, every day, the fantastic quilts y'all produce!

    With gratitude,
    Sue
