I was looking ay Ebay this morning and came upon this unique San Diego fabric. I didn't even know something like this had ever been sold. http://www.ebay.com/itm/San-Diego-FA...item2a43226717

With football season coming on, it will be a good time to shop for helmet or football fabric at your large fabric shops. Joann's, Hancock, even maybe Hobby Lobby

what about using the bargello idea to make a large curved lighting bolt? (My daughter lived in San Diego and I spent a lot of time looking at those helmets). It wouldn't be a true bargello but you could use a variety of blues and golds and just curve them around.

We are going to San Diego in a couple of weeks, and I'm going to go to the Team Shop see if they will let me trace the lightening bolt - they have them in vinyl with adhesive backs. I can't think that they would mind if I tell them what I am doing. It would be great in the center of navy blue fabric as a focus and then put blocks around it in their colors alternating with the Chargers fabric. I've also seen bed sheets that have navy pillow cases with the bolt on it, but it's not so big.

Im sure they will be ok with it it never hurts to ask.

If you get a chance go to Rosie's calico cupboard on El Cajon blvd address says San Diego but its pretty much La Mesa the shop has a huge selection and the San Diego fabrics are beautiful.
They have 100% cotton and home decore fabrics in it that line.
Also I have seen charger fabrics at jo Ann's. Since we are kind of the red headed step children of the football world I'm sure it's only in sandiego stores.
