I am looking for a Christmas tree block pattern that will be simple for brand new sewers/quilters. I would like a pieced block if possible. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
    Thanks so much!

Would this work? It's a one-tree wallhanging made up of squares and HST. http://www.quiltfrog.com/Ctree.html

Here's a very simple tree pattern that you could redraft into a block size that fits your needs (It makes a rectangle, but would be easy to resize as necessary). http://www.quiltfrog.com/cq2009.html

QuiltingGallery is having a Christmas Quilt-A-Long that has a few Christmas tree blocks so far:

This link will take you to the main page for the quilt-a-long that has links to each of the blocks.
