Anyone have any gifts ideas for a man? I'm trying to make all my holiday gifts this year but I'm stumped on what to make the men in my family.

I made the mistake of knitting my DH a pair of socks from some very expensive wool yarn that was given to me and now that's all he wants me to make him. He said they were the warmest and most comfortable sock he has found to wear with his winter boots. I have to order the yarn online and pay a high shipping cost and it takes me a long time to knit a pair of socks but he's worth it. My nephews loved the double tied fleece quilts I made for each of them. They take them to ballgames, campouts, swimming. I made DH a log carrier for bringing in firewood. He uses it and says it makes the job easier and he can carry more wood in one trip.

Aprons for the BBQ cooks, large sized Mitts for the same and instead of Coffee/Tea mug rugs, make them a Beer mug rug

Save some of the yard to darn/mend them when they need it.

I can understand why people would mend/darn their socks when they put so much time and effort into making them.

You spoiled DH for sure! I have never knitted socks, but it's certainly a project I want to try this winter. I think I'm keeping them, though!

The men in my life love PJ pants, so that is probably what I would do. I'm making some luggage tags this year for the first time, so I don't know yet how they will go over!

I totally understand about the knitted socks. I have knit socks over the years and the recepients always love them. MY DIL loves to wear hers when she goes snow shoeing in the woods. Keeps her feet nice and warm.
