Do you want a girlie look? Then white on white. Do you want a striking look? Then burgundy. (that's my preference but I like brights)

I have had some great suggestions, I think I'm going to go with the blue dots. I wanted something darker and this is the deepest color in the block and I didn't want to use a new fabric.

Thanks so much for your help, I will surely post photos when I am done, I think this is going to be a dandy quilt!

Well from the many answers, we are all over the place. I think a light color but not white It would go so well with the beautiful colors in your blocks. I would love to see the pics as you put your blocks together. It is going to be beautiful!!!!!

Your blue dots work out perfectly - keeps the quilt in soft colors - what an interesting thread -

I agree. I'd go darker for a contrast.

I'm sure whatever you choose will be beautiful.

That polka dot might look really good -- my FIRST thought was a light, light, blue, almost white. Not that I am an expert, but I would definitely audition a couple of ideas between those blocks to see how they really look. A dark blue would pop them out alright if it didn't clash with the cobalt on your walls.
