I would take one of the blocks to my quilt shop and audition it against different fabrics to see what I really like.

I think even a taupe, like what's in the narrow strip, would bring out the rest of the colors

Personally I'll go with a creamy peach. Orange/peach is opposite the blues on the color wheel thereby giving your eye a full spectrum of color and is complimentary to the pinks. Lovely colors!

It amazes me how often I read a post, think of my answer, read the post before I enter my answer, then come to dunster's answer and it is what (or very near what) I was going to say. . Each time this happens I feel soooo good because it makes me feel like I had a good answer. I feel validated having the the same (or close to) ideas as a veteran. Pumps my adarenaline up!!!! :) :) :) :)

If you have some larger pieces of fabrics you want to try, spread them out and lay your blocks on them, leaving about 1/2" or 1" showing. Then take a photo and look at the photo.
I tend to see more from a photo. The blocks are so nice. I would probably sash with one of the lighter fabrics but I would like to see what they look like on black and grey.
I will pop in later to see how many choices you give us.
Love the work in progress photos. Thank you.

On Edit: Look how active this post is. All these updates before I could get mine typed. :) . Lovin it!

I just finished one of these and posted it on the board. I went with a neutral for my joiners and also used it as the middle strip in the block. Your blocks look great and I LOVE the polka dot joiners. I would have thought to use yellow, but that choice is great! Good luck finishing it!

Poor you - so many different suggestions! I'd go with the blue polka dot as well!

i would use a summer green...perhaps leaning toward lime..depends on the shade in your quilt..
Green goes with everything.. ie.nature shows that, and it would compliment the walls...blue can be tough to match... other than that i'd do the white... it needs to be neutral to work with all the other pastels...:)

I think it needs a pop color also. A darker blue would set it off.
