You are doing a beautiful job with this .... seems like you are really using your quilting to bring out the best in the fabric design and tying the design elements all together without being obvious(which is very difficult to do). Looks like you're a natural for these art pieces....look forward to seeing more of your work.

ONT: Love the diamond quilting, and the stitching around the Chinese letters.
I'll post some pictures of what I've accomplished on my quilt on my thread about quilted dragons. Haven't got it done yet, youngest son just moved out this week, and it's been really disrupted around here.

By the way; it's Dragon Tamer!!lol

I started to quilt the outer border with a (woodgrain style) stitch. I have the top and the bottom done here are a few pictures of what I have, done.
It took five full bobbins, and four hours to do each the top & bottom of the quilt.
At least these are to two long sides,
the other two are only 6 feet long. These are 7.5 feet long.
    Then! The big suprise binding...

I need to put in the light gray details in the knotholes for depth

Very Nice! You are doing an awesome job. You have alot more patience than I do. Most all my quilting is meandering the whole quilt. Quick & easy. It is alot of fun though. Can't wait to see yours completed.

Wow! That looks fantastic! It does indeed look like wood. And I can see why it took so long, the detail in it is incredible.

Ont: great job. I really like the graining. I really like doing it too. I love the look of dense background fillers. Really wondering what the binding is going to be.
