    I like both the table runner/napkin and placemat/napkin idea. Sets of 4 each.

    I just finished the quilt in less then 2 weeks. I made the twin size but if you made it smaller it would be faster.
    You wouldn't need the pattern because it easy to figure out. With the right colors it could be really pretty. I think if you do a search you can find a few that have been done here.

    I wouldn't make anything larger than a lap size quilt. In these tough economic times the donations may not be as you hope. I would make place mats or table runners.
