Default I need input on a border please

I used a panel today and made up this quilt, as seen on a benatex ad in a quilt magazine. the magazine shows the freestyle log cabin continued after the black trim. WWYD? I am thinking maybe a piano key border? or just leave it?
thanks for any ideas or input.

that is very cute indeed. a piano border sounds good. just depends on how large you need it to be.

I think black would really highlight you cats & flower backgrounds.

I think that a piano key border would look nice after the black border.

I, too, think a piano key board would look great. Be sure to show us how it finished. Also, I bought a panel of cats and then had no idea what to do with them. Thanks for the idea.

Very cute top. I would at least use a dark border then do a piano key border using some of the fabric from the blocks.

Keep in mind I'm still fairly new to quilting...

But I think something done on the bias for a border would add a nice punch.
Dark or black fabric would balance it all nicely.

**Love the quilt. Be sure to let us know when you've finished it. We want to see!!
