    Check out this website for how the real piano keyboard looks, the top row white and black are 1" x 3 inches
    and the bottom row are all white and they are 1 1/2 inches x 3 inches.

    I’ve made many piano key borders- quite often I use a variety of strip widths, anywhere from 1” up to 2 1/2”. I sew strips together then cut the strips into what ever width my border is to be. I do use a shorter stitch length than normal so my seams hold together better when sub cutting
