Maybe you don't really want a school related quilt but one that reflects the person you are giving it to!

There are a few ideas on this website that may give you the needed inspiration.

I googled The Ohio State University Quilts, and came up with a few sites that sold quilts. Perhaps that would help.

Maybe you can find some Ohio State fabric? My sister just did one for a nephew going to UCLA, and she found three different choices of fabric. I think she just googled it. She ordered it from somewhere. Then she just used the fabric in a pattern that only needed 3 fabrics. It turned out great.

Okay, I just googled Ohio State fabric and it took me to Ebay where there were several choices. One is on sale for 11 more hours...you might check it out.

No OSU fabric is available. They won't allow it to be licensed (not sure I worded that correctly). I do know of someone who bought OSU sheets, and cut those up to use. I was afraid to ask what they cost, since I think they are only available from university bookstores. You can buy OSU fleece throws, and use that fabric.

Hmm - that's the fabric that was the sheet fabric I mentioned in my post. I wonder where they bought it as fabric.

I've been looking for OSU fabric for years. It's true that they do not license the fabric for sell to the public. Sheets, bedspreads and t=shirts are the only things I can think of that has the logo. You can check out Buckeye Corner to see what they have.

    also Buckeye Connection

The Buckeye Corner has window treatments for $25 and a valance for $17. I've seen these cut up to be used as 'aprons' around a dish soap bottle. This might work. I've also seen shower curtains used. I actually have an OSU bathroom. I've got one curtain on it with a spare with a different pattern when I get tired of that one. But the fabric isn't really 100% cotton. I bought both shower curtains at Walmart in Ohio.

    Shower curtain 72 x 72 polyester

This one is on now. 72 x 72 polyester

If she is a good friend why not use the school colors and make an hugs and kisses pattern. She will always have a hug and a kiss from you!

Dear tailboo, i have to be honest with this. I just don't think that material would make a nice quilt. maybe a backing. an irish chain in those colors would be nice, and the OSU sheet for a backing!
