Looks like a variation of the Tennessee Waltz, the quilting really makes it shine!

Have you thought about writing to Jenny Conrad and ask? Just Google Jenny Conrad Quilts and she may answer. Georgia Bonesteal wrote back to me when I was trying to find the pattern for her hummingbird quilt. (Before the internet was available.)

    Spectacular quilting!

I think the quilt is built with two alternating blocks.

54-40 or Fight and a 16 patch that is floated in triangles. As far as I can tell, all the small squares are the same size - so the setting triangles will "float" the 16-patch unit.

After looking at the picture more carefully, the block that looks similar to the 54-40 block - the points do not come to the "edge" of the block. See drawing.

I made a quilt for my granddaughter and the pattern looks just like what you are looking for and it was Tennessee Waltz by Eleanor Burns from QIAD. After re-reading the posts I think you have gotten some good responses

Thanks for sharing this picture! I can see why you are inspired by this one. Love how the quilting brings out a secondary pattern! Thanks bearisgray for deconstructing the blocks. I shall go look up the Eleanor Burns Tennessee Waltz, as well. So nice to have ideas from fellow quilters!
