bought the t-fal 4476. Just tried it dry. Seems okay, but it's big and heavy However, today at joanns, I ran into a smartek iron for $7.95. Bought it. Perfect size, perfect weight. Just hope it works!! Will try it tomorrow.

The old Rowentas did not leak or spit. The newer ones do. LOVED my first one. Did not like my second one. Just lately I decided to replace it with a cheap one and got a Sunbeam. Works great and heats up fast if it goes to "sleep" on me. Will never buy expensive irons again.

I bought the same one a few weeks ago. I love it. It's heavy enough, does not leak, and with 1725 watts it gets plenty hot. It's everything I expected the last 4 Rowenta's to be at 1/3rd the price. I may just buy another to have on hand.
