I need a new iron -- any suggestions?
Does anyone have the T-Fal 4476 iron? Looking at this one, but open to suggestions for others. Thanks for any input you can offer. Have been online for about 3 hours looking, and am about wiped out. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I LOVE my cordless Panasonic iron. I've had it a couple years now and it still works like new. It does spit a bit sometimes when I set it on the heating cradle but that doesn't bother me. I love that it's cordless, makes it so much easier to use. The shut off timer resets each time you set the iron into the cradle, so if you're actively using it it'll pretty much never shut off on you. The water tank is detachable, so I can refill it while it's sitting there heating up. And, since it only completes the circuit when it's on the base, I have developed the habit of setting the iron on a silicone pad when I'm done for the day, so there's no way I'm going to forget and leave it on, and no way for it to short out and heat up on its own.
Plus it has a heat-proof dome top that latches on, and the cord retracts into the base. So if you're going to travel with it, there's a safe and easy way to carry it around even if it's still hot.
Best iron I've ever had. If it ever dies I'm buying another one just like it!

I recently bought a T-Fal iron from Wal-mart (around $35)I think it may have been the model below this one -it is blue for my sewing group. Since it is up there I don't have the model #, but we have all been extremely happy with it. Several of the ladies are buying the same for at home and when my currently iron (Reliable) goes it will definitely be a contender

I just bought a Shark last week at Kohl's. It was 50% off and I have a 30% coupon so it came out to $20. It's 1600 watts which I like. Other than that, can't say much as I haven't used it enough. Before that I had a Black & Decker that didn't even last 1 year. They sure don't make things like they used to. It's a throw-away world now.

I just ordered the Yellow Oliso Pro TG1600 from Mass Drop for $139.99 - the price may go as low as $124.99!!! It's been on my wish list for awhile, but it is usually $199.99 and I have not been able to find it for less than $169.99. I like the yellow one better than the Blue one that Joanns has on Black Friday Sale. The yellow one has 1800 watts, a 15 foot cord, and a 30-minute auto shut-off. I currently have an older Orange/Gray model that shuts off in 10minutes which drives me crazy! Love my Oliso and recommend it to anyone asking for recommendations.
