Patrice, just curious...why can't you imagine using them? I tried googling PM rulers but it just took me to PM Quilting. Not sure if the rulers they sell are PM rulers as a brand or my search just took me to that website because of the name. So I don't really know what the features (or lack of) of these rulers are to differentiate them from other rulers.

    Is this them?

They aren't going to get much notice about the rulers if there is no video how to use them. I don't buy any specialty ruler without seeing a video of how it is used and what it can make. Their website isn't that inviting.

I've never heard of them, never seen them at any of my local quilt shops, never taken a class where someone else was teaching or learning with them. That in and of itself makes me leery.

I agree with Onebyone, the website is awful. Hard to read and not appealing at all. Their blog, where I would expect to find information and projects made with the rulers, hasn't been updated in 6 years.

I'll second the recommendation for the frosted Olfa rulers and the Creative Grid rulers. Although I will say you have to be choosy with the frosted Olfas; I own several and 2 of them are not cut and/or printed accurately. One is off by 1/16th of an inch on the lower left corner, which doesn't bother me much. But the other is off on the top right corner, which is one I use a lot. It's only off by about 3 threads width, but that adds up, and it wasn't until I was trying to assemble a bunch of HSTs that I realized it. If you are not a precision piecer, or just don't care to be as anal as I freely admit I am, then it won't bother you.

I bought the set at a quilt show! Love them. And a much better deal to purchase as a set from a show! But make sure you fully understand how to assemble them. Can be confusing

Their site is less than spectacular but I feel that they really are getting their name out through the quilt shows. I have had a 2.5 one since 2015 and the set from show 2016. Am starting to see them at local shows and in LQS. Also on Facebook. They are getting out there!

Never heard of them but here is a video for one ruler. He is cutting several layers.

I just googled pm quilting rulers and came up with a few options.

I think it looks pretty interesting, and would definitely want to give one a try. Do they have one you can use at the show? Here is a Youtube video from Sparrow, I think it gives quite a bit of info.

My guess is we haven't heard of them as they are a relatively new product, but I'm betting they grow in popularity!

Thanks for the input everyone. I didn't get them. Lots of ladies were buying them. They are certainly pricey. I will watch and think about them through the year and get them at the next quilt show if I see him there again. I struggle so much with cutting. I have an Accuquilt but hate getting it out. Plus, it takes room to store all the cutting dies. Of course, he did make it look so easy. But like I said earlier, I know when I get it all home, it will be a different story. I just couldn't spend that kind of money on something I wasn't sure would help, without thinking it through.

I know Gary, the owner, and love his quilting rulers. Have toured the place where they are made. I had him design and make me a specialty ruler for free motion quilting and love it. He is moving his quilt shop and ruler making facility to Casa Grande, Arizona the end of March. Will truly miss his wonderful shop and access to his rulers. There is a video on the use of his rulers. Love them.
