I'm working on two baby quilts at once right now and they're almost done after 3 days of work. I've made them before, though. Here's the link to one I've posted pics of in the past.

I made one last week for a baby shower and one for my toddler. I just take random scraps in 4" or 5" blocks and sew them all together and add a gender appropiate very wide border. They're really simple and turn out cute, the border really ties it all together. I did my sons with a dark navy blue print and the one for the shower I did with a bright purple blender. The ladies just oohed and ahhed and it was the simplest thing I've ever done. Someone even asked if I take orders. Good luck!

I was going to suggest Missouri Star Quilt Co as well - great quick ideas.

I've donated several quilts for the Downey fabric softener company for kids. Here's a link to their website where you can download free patterns.
